A site written by a Catholic priest in a Northern Diocese of the United States. Musings, thoughts, ideas - from an orthodox perspective. "Man has a body as well as a soul, and the whole of man, soul and body, is nourished sanely by a multiplicity of observed traditional things." Hilaire Belloc

Father, oh, you must be so holy, even your shoes are holy--sorry could not resist. But, if priests had wives they would not go about with holes in their shoes or socks--take the time and go get yourself some new shoes for Christmas and some new socks to match.
If you have a hole in your shoe, be sure to wear wool socks because even wet they will keep your feet warm. In fact wool is actually somewhat warmer when somewhat wet than it is when its dry. Of course what you really need is either new shoes or the shoe repair man (are there even any of those around anymore???)
You've lived in Vermont all these years and you haven't ventured to the wilds of LLBean in Freeport Maine on a pilgrimage?! No wonder you have a hole in your shoe. Try these babies. Order by today and you'll have them on Monday. A priest with walking pneumonia doesn't do anyone any good. Least of all himself!
These things are hand sewn and hand crafted. They've got elves in Maine making a set for you right now. Don't delay.
