Visit to Brighton

Father John Boyle (formerly the infamous 'South Ashford Priest') and I went down to Brighton today for a very convivial lunch with Father Ray Blake. Father Ray was most hospitable and we had a very enjoyable time discussing the advent of the anti-Christ, Bishops and lute music (not necessarily in that order). I am looking forward to going to sleep long before all that New Year nonsense happens. Tomorrow I will have to revisit my last year's resolutions

:-D I note the juxtaposition of the first two items in your laundry list of topics for discussion. :-D I do hope we're not supposed to infer something from that!

[Although I have my bets as to who has the worst boss, and I daresay it's probably not you!]

I think your respective bishops can stand down from any charges, however. Because I *KNOW* that Barry Nobama IS the anti-Christ, I don't know why Fr. Blake just didn't ask me before he posted his item this morning. I could have cleared all this up for him! :-D

What did you have for eats?

We went to a nice little restaurant - Fr. John and I had a terrine to start, Fr. Ray had mussels - then I had risotto, they had chicken. We then went back to the Presbytery for biscotti and Armagnac - delightful!

It was lovely to see you, Father, thank you for the splendid bottle. Do come again, you'll be very welcome.

Sounds great. I bet even if it was near freezing it was considerably warming than Stowe!
